Ramtin Sotoadeh
Ramtin Sotoadeh studied Civil Engineering at the University of Guelph. From the start, he was curious, inspired, and industrious, possessing that rare blend of flare for design with hands-on skill. He began his journey to RS Homes with TACC Construction as a Junior Engineer. The grand-scale projects taught him the inside-outs of road construction, underground services, concrete superstructures, and design engineering.
Ramtin excelled at engineering and construction, but he wanted his early experience to give him a broader range of expertise. With this purpose, he sought to work with designers, architects, and contractors: to learn every facet of the home builder’s industry: construction management and estimation, site supervision, woodwork and cabinetry, concrete forming, project management, project and design engineering, and custom building.
He wanted his technical skills to demonstrate visual impact as well as structural integrity. "I want to change the look of structure, and change the way people look at structure. To be creative, and have my creativity make a difference to people and their surroundings."
Over 20 years ago, in 1986, he started his first two construction design companies, Paycon Engineering Limited, and a woodworking manufacturing company called Polo Kitchen. Here he gained his platform in transforming difficult design problems into opportunities, increasing performance, and lowering energy and other costs, enabling clients to make a serious return on their investments.
From here, it was a natural evolution into building quality luxury homes, overseeing every detail of the process to perfection.
Both Ramtin and Ramsin attribute their outstanding attributes to the work of their mentor, Mr. Siawash Paripoush, a German engineer who taught them well. Ramtin says that through his mentor, he was able to develop the best aspects of his work: "the significance of approach to design detailing, engineering and problem solving."
Ramtin believes that our buildings impact our perspective, and that the interior and exterior of our dwellings and commercial spaces can have a positive effect on the way we live. "I believe that the environment we live in, can directly influence behaviour and the decisions we make in our daily lives."
Ramsin Sotoadeh
Ramsin Sotoadeh brings a variety of complementary passions to RS Homes, excelling in his diverse specialties- from management, to millwork.
Ramsin studied mechanical engineering technology at Ryerson Polytechnic Institute, and advanced his education with diplomas in project management and quantity surveying at George Brown City College. He is a member of the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors, and a Construction Estimator Certified (CEC).
For more than 20 years, Ramsin has worked in multiple capacities in residential construction, running various manufacturing facilities that specialized in millwork. Ramsin’s commercial millwork projects include the art gallery and the racetrack in Windsor, the cosmetic displays fixtures at the Eaton Centre, the United Technology building, and all Bell Mobility store fixtures
